Time Lines = Awareness
Time lines are a great way to view the future and make sure you are staying in the high priority/not time critical quadrant.
In your diary you may find it helpful to draw a timeline for the terms of the year (see below):
What you now do, is mark due dates of assignments, tests, exams etc. on the timelines. At a glance, you now know what is coming up. You will be able to say "well I have an assignment due in three weeks. I will stay in the correct quadrant and do it now".
Advanced Tip
Go and see your teacher today. Ask them when all of your assessments are to be held for the year, and what topics you will be assessed on. Then write them into your timeline. Your teacher may not know the exact date of assessment, but they should have a pretty good idea of the week.
Activity
Draw the above timelines into your diary and start filling in any key information you already know. Next, ask your teachers when assessments will be, and add them to your timelines.
